The laboratory is responsible for the production of reference materials according to a quality system under ISO norm 34:2000 (E) ( General requirements for the competence of reference material producers ) and includes agro-food and environmental fields.

Depending on the nature of the matrix to be treated, the production process usually includes: drying and/or freeze-drying, a reduction of particle size by grinding, and an accurate selection of particle size by sieving. The homogeneity of the material produced is guaranteed according to a validated system. The stability of the final product is monitored by systematic analysis.
